1. Rear Admiral James Ohimai Okosun was born on 15 Oct 1969 and hails Ozalla, Edo state. The Senior Officer attended the Airforce Military School, Jos, Plateau Sate, Nigeria before proceeding to Nigerian Defence Academy as a member of 40^th Regular Course, where he graduated with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was subsequently Commissioned into the Nigerian Navy as a Sub Lt in 1993. Rear Admiral James Ohimai Okosun has attended several military and academic courses during his career. He attended the Officers Application Courses at the Nigerian Navy Engineering College, Sapele for the Marine Engineering Specialization Course. In addition, he attended the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji for the Junior and Senior Staff Courses. He also attended Nasser Higher Military Academy in Cairo, Egypt for National Defence Course.

   Was also a Directing Staff and a Chief Instructor at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji as well a Directing Staff at the National Defence College Abuja. He also served as Assistant Director Air Engineering NHQ, Command Technical Officer at HQ Western Naval Command, Officer in Charge FSU PATHFINDER, Manager Yard Services at the Naval Shipyard and Assistant Director Platforms at DHQ. The senior officer also served as General Manager Yard services and General Manager Production at varying times at the Naval Dockyard Limited Lagos. He also served as the Commander Fleet Support Group East, the Deputy Commandant/ Director of Studies at the Naval War College Nigeria, Calabar and the Deputy Director Technical Research at the Defence Research and Development Bureau Abuja. He was appointed Director Marine Engineering at Naval Engineering Branch NHQ Abuja and subsequently, the Commandant Naval Institute of Technology Sapele. He is presently, the Director Project Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate. Rear Admiral JO Okosun is a Member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria and Member Nigerian Institute of Management. The senior officer holds the following decorations and awards, namely; MSS, DSS, psc+, fdc+, ndc (Egypt), and a Distinguished Eminent Fellow of the Naval War College Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Master’s degree in project management. He is happily married to Mrs Issabela Okosun and they are blessed with 2 lovely children.
3. Rear Admiral James Ohimai Okosun enjoys travelling and meeting people, playing golf, squash and football. He also enjoys discuss on international affairs/ world politics and loves reading about scientific inventions and how things work.
